PHYLISS NICOLE TAYLOR, MD, PMH-C
Meet Dr. Taylor!
Dr. Taylor is a psychiatrist with a specialization in Perinatal Mental Health. Dr. Taylor has been practicing psychiatry for over 15 years and has worked in a variety of inpatient hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics, nursing homes, the Veterans Administration, and as an Assistant Professor for the University of Florida.
Dr. Taylor received her undergraduate degree, a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, from Duke University in Durham, NC. She then went on to receive her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN and completed her psychiatry training at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, NC. Her education and training led her to board certification in general psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International where she serves on the National Board.
She is passionate about erasing the stigma of mental illness through community education and mental health advocacy. She is a devoted wife, mother of two amazing children, and enjoys being active in her community and church.
